Hammonton Stingrays Swim Team

Dominic Mazza began his swim career as a 4-year-old and fought through some early struggles to become a valued member of the Hammonton Stingrays squad.  For his dedication to the team and overall commitment and loyalty to the sport, Dominic earned the Annamae Jacobs Award last season, in recognition of his outstanding commitment to the sport of swimming and his dedication and loyalty to the swim team.  However, to judge someone like Dominic solely by his swimming accomplishments would do him a disservice.  He is an extraordinary young man, respected and beloved by his peers and coaches alike.  A recent graduate of St. Augustine Preparatory School, he was highly involved in a variety of activities including serving as a member of the Juvenile Conference Committee, student government and Varsity Crew.  Despite his busy schedule, Dominic still achieved in the classroom earning Head of School Honors and induction into the National Honor Society.  From cheering on his teammates to competing on Saturdays, Dominic will miss the Stingrays and wishes them the best of luck.  He thanks his parents and his brother, JohnPaul, for always being there for him.  This fall, Dominic plans on continuing his post-secondary education at LaSalle University on both an academic and athletic scholarship.
